Nick was quite the voracious reader when he was young, and was taught to read by his parents. People read because they can use it as a stress reliever, find interest in the knowledge they gain, or just read for the sake of reading. In order to be a good reader, one must be consistent in reading. One must have a pattern or schedule when reading, whether it be daily or weekly, one must be consistent. Nick finds it very easy to read when he is interested and wants to read, not when he needs to but when it is enjoyable. The hardest part for Nick when he reads is when the text is very dry, and finds that early English text can be challenging at times. Nick seems to choose a book by author, if he liked that author's previous work then he will continue to read more of their work. The qualities he looks for are books that are unpredictable, it is fast paced at times, but can hold a steady pace that will always keep him hooked from he beginning. Nick reads almost every night at home for at least 30 minutes, and if missed a day will add it on the next day. In general, Nick feels that reading is very very important and is vital for a basis for any foundation in life.
