Moral of the story, there is always work and when there is work, work is to be done. There is always work to be done.
Things fall apart by itself was an interesting book. It followed Okonkwo and we as a group were in charge in finding out how place, physical and psychologically, played a part in his tribe. The picture above is Okonkwo's compound in which he lived with his wives and children. He made his living as a yam farmer, but he was respected throughout Umuofia for his feats as a fearsome warrior.
The impact that place had on Things fall apart, as well as any story, is significant. I love how every marking period we learn something knew, we dissect a story with a particular lens. For example in the beginning of the year we really focused on Point of view and how it really allows how much the reader to know and what not to know. Now we learned our story through the lens of place and the significance an author has in expressing his interests when utilizing that literary device.
